You're right, it's not. If it's already taken, it's probably by me.

For example, though, username at Earthlink (my old ISP) used to be fov. When I switched to Comcast, fov wasn't available. I also used to have a hotmail address with that name but it disappeared at one point. I sent a test email just to see if it was going to me anymore and got a response from some Portugese guy who now had the address (his initials were FOV).
