Even without AdBlock, I am not getting any nasties using Firefox. Banner ads under "The Latest from Adventure Gamers" and that's about it. Haven't even been getting the QuestionMarket one lately, although occasionally I do see its address at the bottom of the screen as it tries to load. (Maybe it's been blocked?)

This is a first. Takes up the whole browser window.

Another one that probably shouldn't be here.

It's a TribalFusion ad. The referring site is www.true.com.

In another thread I mentioned that Spyware Doctor was giving me an alert about casalemedia.com. I'm no longer getting that alert, so I can either assume that casalemedia is no longer supplying the advertising content, or that Spyware Doctor no longer considers them a threat.

Regardless, questionmarket.com and circuitcity.com ads are truly intrusive, regardless of who is supplying them.

And the "get a date"-ads, while not intrusive, are, perhaps, not appropriate. I don't have a problem with ads, but somebody needs to re-think the advertsising strategy.

I'm not quite sure who to thank, but the ads have been much more tolerable lately. Anyway, thanks to whoever made the changes!

Thank Marek. I think. :o

Marek briefly swooped down and neutralized those particular ads recently.

Thank you, Mr. Cheese Hater!

Am I hallucinating? Are they really gone? Hooray! :D

Edit - sigh, I knew it was too good to be true!

I'm not sure I can describe what's happening to me here. (It also happened at MM when we had the winter skin on the forum with snowflakes coming down, but it's okay there now.) When I go into a thread, I can't back out - what seems to happen is that the ads seem to scroll through with each click on the back button in IE. I wind up having to exit AG and re-enter to go to the next thread or forum. This has been going on for weeks, but I didn't comment because it happened with MM as well, but as I mentioned above, that's okay now. Any ideas?

Just now it was okay, but the page this is on didn't have any ads on it.

Oh, no! the question market ad is back - the one that slides across your screen. Damn.

LOL!! How'd it get past the bouncer?

Auto insurance? I mean... auto insurance? (Ad spotted at the top of the main forum page two minutes prior to posting this.)
