Search function

I'm searching for a thread in Chit Chat named something like "favorite gif animations". I can't find it. Has it been deleted? Also, the search function rejects looking for the word "gif", although I've found other threads with that word in the title. Why is that?

How old should it be?

Maybe you just remember the thread name incorrectly? That happens to me a lot... Just try putting as many facts as you know about the thread in the fields and then making a wider search for some more common words that would be there. (But you probably already knew that...)

Or then it's not even in these forums

I know that too happens to me a lot...

Searches of fewer than 4 characters are invalid, I think. This is to avoid being swamped with partial word results, which could happen easily with a search of 3 or fewer characters.
