We get money from ads and affiliate programs. We use it to pay for stuff we need to keep the site running.

Don't try to fool us with that, we're not that dumb. You're using it to make The infernal machine of world dominance! ... That gets you world dominance.

Err... the infernal machine of world dominance is needed to keep the site running? Yeah, that's it.

Marek actually funds this site from his big treasure chest guarded by a zombie Davey Crockett.

"Money, money, money, always funny, in a rich man's world."

Man... Abba rocks.

But seriously, even if you guys didn't make money off the ads to keep the site running, I'd help by donating a few bucks here and there (Even though I'm a poor University student, haha). This is my favorite adventure game site, and one of the few sites I make a habit of checking everyday.

So it comes out even in the end, or are you making a profit?

All I will say about finances is that I'm fully compensated for our monthly server bill and any incidental software licensing fees (such as for vBulletin).

You know, you'd probably make a lot more money if you allowed ads that sell cheese.

First of all, I don't have our financial records. Second of all, how the hell is it any of your business? And why should you care?

Nobody earns a regular paycheck from AG, but in addition to paying the server bills and vBulletin licensing fees, it has helped partially pay staff hotel and airfare bills for E3 some years, if that's what you're wondering.*

It's good to know you guys are not in financial trouble. It's even better to know that I can happily continue ignoring the banners

I'm still waiting to see a Viagra ad pop up (as it were), just so I can say I saw a Viagra ad on AdventureGamers.com.

Temporaryscars, you are way the hell over the line. Lose the attitude. Fast. And consider your demand for a shit-free existence here to be categorically denied. The site admin is not accountable to you.
