Default Myst V preview

Nice one, Laura, ejoyed reading it... although Myst V is questionably "high end". No performance problems to speak of then, in comparision to the demo?

I had no performance problems - other than player performance. This IS a Myst game

I haven't played the demo - so I wouldn't know of the differences.

Mszv said it right, on UO/MO.

This is the first preview that gave me a good idea of what it's like to play the game.
I've also been defending your good name over there, M'lady.

it's a snazzy preview, hopefully it'll ease some peoples fears about the game.

And I have it on good authourity that the fanged things are not called 'toothalopes', despite my better efforts

Great preview, Laura. I played the demo a few days ago, which allayed most of my fears. Your informative hands-on has just sealed the deal. Now, I'd better just go and break the news to my credit card.

Well written preview once again, Laura. I was wondering, however, if you can give us a little info on the sound design in the game, details like if things echo if you go into big indoor spaces or if the wind sounds authentic when outside. And how did the facial expressions and lipsyncing look in detail on the characters and how well did the textures look in general and up close.

Feel free to borrow it. They'll always be toothalopes to me, even if they have a 'real' name
