Default Continuity or Intentional?

During the murder of John Winston, Lucas is holding the knife in his right hand, with his left hand on top. The murder weapon never changes hands for the duration of this scene. Also during this scene, the Oracle is shown mimicking these motions in the above combination.

At the coroner's autopsy, Carla states that the killer was left handed; a flashback is shown with Lucas holding the murder weapon in his left hand, with his right hand on top.

Later, when Lucas is at the bank, he receives a phone call; he picks up the receiver with his left hand.

I suppose that it is safe to argue that Lucas' apparent ambidextrousness during the murder could be attributed to the Oracle - that is, Lucas is left handed, but forced to utilize his right hand for the commission of murder; even in that set of extreme circumstances, Lucas' left-handedness shows.

Or was this intentional?
