Hi David,
Thanks for giving us the chance to ask questions about the game. I'm very interested in knowing how you came up with the names for the main characters. By some amazing coincidence, you've used the names of all three of my brother's children (Kane, Jade and Lucas), plus one nephew from my husband's side of the family (Marcos). I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but even so it's pretty wild.

I really don't know your family, so it is just a coincidence ;-)

Lucas Kane : One of the most popular baby names at the moment plus the name of the hero of one of my favourite movies (Citizen Kane).

Carla Valenti : Carla is the name of my italian nephew. Valenti made her sound even more italian.

Tyler Miles : Tyler came from Fight Club (I realised that afterwards, as well as the other character Marla sounds a lot like Carla...) and Miles came from Miles Davies.

I like to use hidden references like that, it usually unconsciously rings a bell in people's minds.

Please say hello to your family for me. Good choice for their names ;-)

Speaking of Carla...was her character model based on the actress Angelina Jolie or is it just a coincidence that the character's face resembles Angelina's? Also Carla reminded me of Angelina Jolie's character in Bone Collector somewhat.

Carla was inspired by Jenifer Lopez in the movie Out of Sight.

Lucas was inspired by Jude Law.

I thought that it probably wasn't a coincidence that Lucas and Marcus are named after two of the evangelists. I was just waiting for John and Matthew. (If you're a Sandman fan, you could take the raven to be a Matthew, I suppose.)
