What do you think of this new man...
ner of starting the sentence in a title of the thread, but finishing in the actual post? Seems like it's very popular these days. It's everywhere!

It depresses me. If I am depressed I cannot work. If I cannot work, I won't be ready for my french test (IGCSE) on Wednesday. If I fail my French test, I am doomed for life.
Please, don't make me depressed. - :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: |
Look, a bunny! See how happily it jumps and plays on the green grass under the warm sun! Oh, look, another one! How lovely to watch them play!

that it's irritating like hell.
Man! I should do it more often!! :D |
Done properly, it can be a clever segue. The key to doing it properly is to move from the title to the body of the post at a point where there's a natural break in the sentence, such as at a comma. Doing the break at other points is just bad grammar, and doing the break in the middle of a word is truly awful.
AFGNCAAP illustrated this point perfectly by leading everyone to think we might see photos of some up-and-coming new face in entertainment in this thread, only to have our hopes dashed by yet another grammar question. ;) ScottMate |

I think this new man is beyond good and evil, living according to his own will to p--oh, wait. ;) Everything Scott just said above I agree with, too. |

Yeah, that's true. But I don't have any pie now. :frown: *looks at the bunnies* Those are much nicer than mine. Mine are one awfully scared male bunny called "Lucky" and a terribly defensive female bunny called "Speedy" (The roles are always distributed in this way with my bunnies. Scaredy cat male, moody female). She apparently holds a grudge against my sister's boyfriend, because he's the one that gets bitten. That makes me smile. - :D :D :D :D :D :D :D |

What?! No all-American apple pie! Heresy! hehehe
