^Just read my mind, because that's exactly what I wanted to write.

(Is it just me, or is the harpsichord always the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of more rare musical instruments?)

^ always wanted to be in a clown band when she was younger.

(I don't get this harpsichord=rare thing, but maybe that's just because I've sang at concerts where they've been used. They're perfectly easy to get if you go to the right people, and much less rare than, say, an Opheclide...)

^ wondered why her appearances with Cirque du Solei weren't being noticed, and only then realised that she hadn't joined Cirque du Soleil.

[I know what you mean. My violin teacher actually has an harpsichord. I guess it's just because you rarely hear a child saying something like: "Mommy, I want to learn to play the Harpsichord!". It's not really something present in normal music schools (we actually have a music school where you can take lessons in my town. I know it's not the norm, though. Normally it's private lessons at the teacher's home.)/among the music lessons offered any place.]
