Excellent trailer. Heath Ledger is The Joker now.

2008 is looking great for movies. Indy 4, Sweeney Todd and Dark Knight.

Damn it, not that dumb piece of metal. I just hope Wall-E doesn't have an annoying voice.

Batman: Gotham Knight

Preview of the upcoming Batman Anime DVD that bridges Batman Begins and the Dark Knight movies.

6 short stories with the Scarecrow, Croc, Dead Shot and Man Bat.

Looks cool.

I'm really worried about this film. I'm a huge fan of the Indy films (first films I really liked as a small kid). If the new one sucks it would be a real disappointment. I think the new Star Wars films are awful, but that didn't bother me as much (the old ones are good but not as the Indy films). So I'm casually optimistic about this.

The computer graphics in the trailer ruins much of what Indy is about according to me. But if that was the only thing I would still be rather happy. The crystal skull is something the Mayas used (so far so good) but I've heard stories that the film will incorporate the insane speculations about aliens visiting the Maya temples (yes, you read correctly). The box marked Roswell that can be seen in this trailer isn't doing much good to kill that rumor. What the hell are they doing with Indy?

The article I read in Vanity Fair seems to indicate that they are trying to stay true to Indy. I have faith--these guys have a lot invested in this historically. emotionally and have no need to present some awfull, new version of the legacy. [crosses fingers]

Yeah, you know, I saw the movie yesterday... Why George and Steven, why? What happened to the promise of old school Indiana Jones?

Just thought i'd share this:

Me and my family have been on holiday this past week in Newborough, Anglesey - Wales. On Friday, me, my brother, my sister and my dad went down to the beach, which was just a couple of miles from our campsite. We went to the bottom end of the beach for a special reason. We waited on top of these rocks and on a sandy hill nearby, as well as other members of the public, for a total of 4 hours. We actually got to witness film makers setting up their equipment and preparing a scene for a movie! A movie was being made in our area! What are the odds?

And not just any movie. But a movie distributed by Warner Bros. A movie staring Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), Liam Neeson (Schindler's List) and Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation). It was a scene for the remake of Clash of the Titans. Click here for info about the original 1981 version if you haven't heard of it.

My dad even spoke to this American guy - asked him questions - who apparently was a documentary guy. Responsible for the 'behind-the-scenes' featurette that'll be on the DVD. The guy has been working in the movie industry for about 15 years and has done a lot of behind-the-scenes documentaries for movies.

Unfortunately we never got to see Ralph or Liam (the former was in London whilst the latter had finished his scenes), but we did see Sam Worthington in his costume ready for being filmed. Along with his horse, Pegasus, which had checkered dots on either side where the CGI wings would be added later.

Sadly, we never got to witness any actual filming being done. Only cinematography. To begin with, the documentary guy had no problems with us staying, so long as we didn't interfere/get in the way of his camera. Then, a security guard moved us onto a nearby hill and told us we could take photos/video before filming commenced but not after. Then finally, a member of the crew cleared us off completely before they began filming. Typical. His excuse was that we might distract the actors. Yeah right. Isn't that what actors do? Act in front of people? Plus they were being watched by probably over 40 crew members.

Ah well. It was still a really cool experience. I'm not sure how i feel about the actual remake though considering i grew up watching the original. The documentary guy said they were aiming for 'bigger and better' but that doesn't really mean anything. These film makers usually say that. Plus, the director is the guy behind the new Incredible Hulk movie and Transporter 2. So... we'll just have to see.

Ponyo is an animated movie from director Hayao Miyazaki.I hope it will be as good as Howl's Moving Castle(one of my favorite movies).
