Default Need your opinion on website

I'm just working on my net portfolio and that's what i got together so far: http://users.volja.net/igorsi1/index.htm

Non of the links work yet, but the main page is finished...
It's more or less a compromise, as i need to put it up as fast as possible.
What do you think? Like it? Don't like it? You want more pr0n?
Don't spare me any critic

Oh, and if possible, view it in 1024x768 or above resolution.

EDIT: Sketchbook page is now working

Wow... You can really draw!

The only thing I can think of is that the site is a smidgen to tall when watched in Opera at 1024x768... I can't see the whole copyright thingee. (Man, what an embarrasing nitpick....)

Looks nice.

What immediately stuck in my eye was the boxes around the links. They are too ... um rectangular (for lack of a better word) compared to everything else. Or is that an intentional contrast?

Good point. A guy with your visual eye could certainly make some interesting illustrations to match those links, Igor. Like the e-mail gnome. (That doesn't mean that it would look better designed, mind you....)

Looks good. My suggestion is to shrink down the links (rectangles) a bit, they're fighting with the main image. Reverse the sizing of your name with that of the page title so that your name is bigger. This is your portfolio, after all. Good luck.

All great suggestions- thanks!

Garyos: nitpicking- that's exactly what i need I'll move copyright thing up a bit. Btw, i'll see if there'll be some time left to do icons for all links.

Erkki: You might be right about boxes... i intentionaly made them a bit thicker and rectangular (for some diversion) but they might really look better a bit deformed. Need to try it out.

Intrepid: another good suggestion! I'll try to combine deformed boxes, as Erkki suggested, with smaller size. I'll probably leave my name the same size it is now though. It gives a bit book-like look which i kinda like

Unadulterated commentary:
I like the left side. The right side looks.. 'out of place.'

Make of that what you will. I sure as hell don't understand what it means.

edit: Heh! It looks like y'all said the same thing. *hiccup*

Well, no. I remember that Igor did Ignac and stuff, but does that mean that I cant compliment him more than one time? Did I use up all my Compliment points?

(And do you have a link to that trailer?)

You haven't seen the trailer yet?! It's one of the most brilliant post-modern socio-sympathetical... alright alright But really, it's good.

Igor, I'm looking forward to seeing more of the site.

...
And more pr0n of course.

Yes. You can purchase more directly from me at a cost of $10 each. More information is available by PM.

Hmm, I haven't even heard of this Ignac never before.

But I was interested on finding out what it is/was...

So here is the link to the trailer downloadpage, that I'm just downloading myself.

http://maniac.adventuredevelopers.com/trailer.htm

Looks great, at least from that picture in that page.

EDIT: Now I checked the trailer, WOW...

That's some great work you got there

It's a very nice main page you've got there, Igor.
And I just watched the trailer also and it looks fabulous! I wish I could draw like that.

Kolzig; you should try out the Ignac 1-game, which is a short demo-esque adventuregame, that serves as somewhat of a prelude to Ignac 2. Aside from some healthy pixel-hunting puzzles (), it's a nice little experience.

Wow the trailer is really good. I'd say the best amateur game trailer I've seen (if it can be called amateur -- looks very professional).

The voice is also great. Is that you, Flux? Or am I mixing you up with someone else? The voice sounds like a 40 year old person's, how'd you do that?

Lol, naah I'm totally anti-smoking. I guess I can just fuck up my voice so bad it sounds good o_O;;

Is Ignac 1 the little demo that takes place in the hotel?

Iirc, Igor's dayjob is as an animator/cartoonist of some sort, so no wonder it looks professional...
