Breffast for breakfast.

Teef for teeth.

Pacific for specific.

Nucular for nuclear (this one is in honor of Bush!)

Guesstimate.

Meh.

Those "ize" words Americans so frequently make up. E.g "Burglarized" instead of merely "Burgled".

Invision/envision (because it should be envisage).

All the words used by corporate/political spokesmen to hide their meaning.

And there's nothing wrong with "asinine".

Words I hate? Anything that's fashionable these days, like 'd00d' or '4w35o/\/\3'.

I've always hated it when people say "o-tay" instead of "okay". But I guess they don't do that so much anymore.
But the word I hate most is...

Cream. Or creamy. Or any other derivative of that word.

Crematorium is a scary word. When I was much younger, I thought being cremated meant being melted into goo or beaten into a pulp or something.

Actually, creamsicle isn't so bad. Same with ice cream. But I say it fast, so it's like I-scream.

I swear to God, if someone says that screaming for ice cream rhyme...

The word "retard". I find it extremely offensive.

I would probably put that in your 'Words you love....Arrrrrrrrrrr!' thread, because it's one word I use to describe my ex - right next to 'selfish'.

Agreed, but at the same time, I don't hate it at all. It's the only swearword which, in all it's intensity, intrigues me. No idea why, mind. Maybe because it's a single syllable, but not as overused as F.

Ah, whatever *goes see a shrink*
