I'm not in London, but I wish I was, to help. I've got good friends there, some horribly close to the targetted stations and I'm just hoping they're okay.

Been thinking of you guys as I've seen the images roll in. Hope you're guessing wrong, squarejaw, and that this isn't a precursor to something more.

*Waits for SCRUGates and Nuttygal to post....*

What really gets me, though, is that Bush and Blair are just going to use this as another excuse to throw their weight around abroad. It'll be the Iraq war all over again!

Funny, using a sign that the tactic is backfiring to use the tactic again. Real funny.

*grinds*

*sighs* I really hope my friends are okay. I've not heard back yet. *shift, shift, shuffle*

My thoughts are with the folks in London as well.

Apparently a group called Secret Organization al Qaeda in Europe has claimed responsibility and warned that more attacks are coming in countries like Italy and Denmark which supported the Iraq war unless they pull out of Iraq. I hope that they are just bluffing. Wherever you are folks, please be safe.

My condolences to all those in London, and I'm praying that as many people as possible are OK. Nobody deserves to be on the receiving end of this kind of treatment.

Ironic, perhaps, that newspapers so jubilantly proclaiming London 2012 this morning should feature London for a completely different reason tomorrow.

What a terrible thing! Hope everyone from here is Okay! Makes you wonder if the Olympics were to go to Paris, if Paris would have been hit this morning instead. There's no telling what these bastards will do. It seemed like a well-planned attack to hit several places at once. Please be careful, and be safe!

I just woke up... This makes me want to go back to sleep and dream of boiling to death the people that did this.

Oh no. Please everyone in London, and everyone with London friends and family - please post on this thread to let us know how you are doing.

Please take care. My heart goes out to you.

SJH - time will tell, but the Olympics have had their share of terrorism as well. There was a terrible time in 1972 when several athletes were killed in the Olympic village, and then in Atlanta, too, with the bombing attempt.

So I'd be rather cynical to this being used as an excuse to further those things.

I wasn't even aware of the news about the explosion. I haven't been watching the TV lately. That's the good thing about AG forums. It's as good as the cable news. What a terrible thing to happen.

Better than cable news in my opinion, because we're hearing it from people we actually know and love.
