Just had a large bowl of tomatoey (is that a word......IT IS NOW)!!!!!!! pasta to refuel me from todays ride. And a nice typically English cuppa tea....ahhh! Maybe terrorists should drink more tea, as we Brits like to think it is the answer to all the worlds problems

Hmm, shall I have another? Yeah, why not....

Raw. With olive oil and spices (I assume that it't olive oil, because as far as I know, the Delikatessen shop owner is Greek. And he mostly has greek things. Lots of olives too. I think the Ouzo is a dead pointer.

Octopus is a little too, um, chewy for me when it's raw, but I love it prepared a seviche.
The Ouzo is a dead giveaway. He's definately Greek.

Today morning I had my usual cappucino. For a quick lunch I had a packet of noodles. Right now, for dinner, I'm cooking my special herbal ginger chicken soup for a sick friend. The ginger should knock out some bad wind out of him. My mom's recipe.

I have yet to eat today (it's now 10:53 a.m. my time). I shouldn't skip breakfast but it happens at times. I will probably head over to the Memorial union on campus and get myself a burrito (they are yummy there).

Mira - Could you post a recipe for that soup you're making. It sounds good!

I've been eating things I might be allergic to. I want to find out if I really am allergic to them and what happens if I am. So far I've tried kiwi fruit, plums, peaches, pears, almonds, and coconut. Turns out that I can eat them. The coconut part is really good news because now I can eat more Indian and Asian cuisine.

Wine Pastilles. Like wine gums, only more cheaply available .

Meal-wise, it's Monday, so it was the good old pasta with bacon and tomato sauce. Too salty.

I'm currently wearing a black armband because my favorite Indian restaurant, Curry In A Hurry, has closed.
The other local Indian restaurant, Taj India, is expensive and their food is too bland and Americanized for my taste. I'm not desperate enough to go there yet, but the day will probably come if I don't get a good curry fix soon.
For now, it's off to the Piggly Wiggly deli to drown my sorrows in the special of the day.

Actually, it isn't too chewy. I dare to say that cooked octopus is actually more chewy than the raw stuff. I know that Octopus rings tend to be very chewy, and they are fried. The octopus I was eating was perfect. Not at all rubbery or anything.

Must you all make me hungry for Indian food? I'm eating a very sad brown sugar poptart right now.
