Beatiful Things
OK, so here's thread that's designed to store beautiful things. I know we like kidding around here but I really want to make this thread work so please try to be serious.
I will start. It's a dress designed by Coco Chanel as shown in the special exhibition Chanel at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I love dresses like this that's very beautiful yet doesn't overpower the woman who's wearing it. |

Marry me, gilly!!!
You have excellent taste. Though Chanel had a bit of a reputation of being a shrewd bitch (possibly due to her vengeful survivalist inclinations from a poor upbringing), she was also sought after by many [rich] men for being fiercely independent, elusive romantically, sensual, and very very modern. Her contribution to and influence on 20th century culture and lifestyle ensured her legendary status. She was perhaps one of the first feminists, but not in the way that today's feminists would think. The dark underlining of her empire was a kind of revenge against the tyrrany of men through the decidedly underhanded act of becoming even more womanly and desirous - using men's weaknesses against them. But the weapons she conceived for it - the little black dress, sportswear, pearls, Chanel No. 5 perfume - remain among the most beautiful and well designed artillery ever made.

I have no idea what to post. There are way too many beautiful things out there, it's dizzying.

I still respect his work. It is great. Just don't like it.
That doesn't make sence. EDIT: After Googling him, I found a lot of paintings I never saw that are brilliant. Yep. Greatest artist of all-time. |
