If Vin Diesel is playing him, Uwe Boll might as well direct. Now it will just be bad, if Boll directed, it would be hilariously bad.

True, but cut Vin some slack. He's a real nice bloke in interviews, and if you've seen the DVD of Riddick, you'll know he's like a kid in a candy store. He was brought up a nerd before he started pumpin' iron! Plus he voiced the robot in Brad Bird's classic 2D animation of The Iron Giant, so that's gotta count for something...

I hated that XXX film but I thought Chronicles of Riddick was vaguely amusing, so yeah I guess he's not too bad.

XXX was pants, but Pitch Black was good and he did a reasonably good job of applying some gravitas to The Fast And The Furious.
Can't and won't comment on The Pacifier though.

I had the same opinions Seed and nordic_guy, but when I actually saw all his movies some time ago, I realized that that guy can Act.
I'm expecting that this movie is going to hit fairly big, it has all the chances of being great. On the other hand, it would also be interesting to see what kind of Hitman games Vin's Tigon Studios could create with IO Interactive, I bet they would bring some good fresh new ideas to the Hitman franchise. They surely do need some new ideas, the latest game was a bit boring.

You've gotta admit, the Hitman games' lead character does look a lot like Vin Diesel. Except Diesel is going to have to have to dress a lot more formally as opposed to his usual jungle-adventure style.

Vin Diesel?
They cast him only 'cause he's bald, right? Yeah, I like him well enough, but I cannot picture him as the elegant silent deadly type. No no no no no. I always thought the Hitman series to be all about elegance and style. Vin Diesel is NOT elegant, and he has style but I don't think it's at all suited for Hitman movies.

Yeah, 47 is like a bald James Bond. I guess Vin Diesel isn't really anything like James Bond.

Yeah, I know.
Money talks and bs walks. I just don't get why Statham, Rhys Davies and Perlman would want Uwe Boll's movies on their cv's.

I remember reading about Bloodrayne a long time ago, when it was still a nameless project. It was around the time that Blair Witch 1 was set to be released, and Terminal Reality (the devs) were interviewed about their most ambitious game yet, one where you play a minor character from Blair Witch and Nocturne, a half human half vampire female. Interestingly, the way they were talking, it sounded a lot like Doom 3 in that real time light and shadows would affect the gameplay and atmosphere. They said the A.I. would take advantage of the dark areas and actually use it to advantage against you. The engine would be the real time 3D version of the Nocturne engine (remember how awesome that was 5-6 years ago for its gorgeous shadows?).
There was even a short movie, a tech demo showing the lighting effects and featuring the character herself, and it looked rather impressive. About a year or so after that, they changed everything, so disappointing. What we all got in the end was Bloodrayne.
