Hi everyone -
I'm a relatively newbie here, though I've lurked here off and on for quite some time. Now that I'm on vacation (yay!), there's much more chance to pop in. Believe it or not, I just spent the last hour browsing through this entire topic from start to finish, while my wife who is a little under the weather takes a nap... and all I can say is, WOWZERS! (Especially Mel, with that curly hair!) If we got all of you fabulous-looking guys and gals together in one place, it would look like the Armani party I was mistakenly invited to a few years ago. Anyway, I thought I'd post this picture, since it goes along with the season for those of us in wintery lands right now. Alas, the quality isn't stellar, as it's pulled off a video camera with not-so-great photo capabilities, but nonetheless it's a nice picture of me and my better half. (And when I say 'half' here, I mean that almost literally - sometime I'll post a pic of the two of us standing together and you'll see what I mean. :) ) Happy holidays to those of us celebrating them, and season's greetings to all the rest. Hope to be getting to know everyone better in 2006. Cheers, doroposo http://tinyurl.com/7e4rh/meandmayumi.jpg |

I've posted my pictures elsewhere, but I think this'll be my debut on this thread.
I'm the guy on the right, the other dude's my big brother. This was our cousin's wedding. I've dropped the goatee since then. Too much maintenance. :shifty: http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/7661/suittie37jh.jpg |
Very good looking you stud-muffin-you! :P

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with that picture myself. :D
Although my face is distractingly asymmetrical. |
:) Symmetrical faces are very, very rare. However, trust me on this: distractingly beautiful faces are almost always asymmetrical.
Bes you's looking positively huggable. |
Trep is absolutely right! I read this study a few years ago. They took pictures of some good looking young men and women. Then they took half the pic and mirrored it to make it symmetrical. They mixed these up with normal pics, and asked some people to judge trustworthiness. In almost every case, the mirrored or symmetrical images all were thought to be untrustworthy people. Those taking the test were unable to give reasons why they felt it was so, but they definitely didn't like those whose faces were symmetrical. Perhaps it is that symmetry is unnatural, and therefore is suspect in some way.

I have a couple of up to date pics of me. I appear to have the weight of the world on my shoulders, but I always look like that in pictures(I really can smile, although I recently turned 31, so it's getting harder. ;) ). Anyway, a spectacles on-spectacles off, before and after. I'm going to get a more square/darker frame style, in the next couple weeks, so the ovals are disappearing.

Definately better without the ovals.

Like the dress and the funky pink gloves. Those bat-wings are quite a fashion statement. Kawaii-ne!!! Though I wouldn't say that the bright blue is my colour :D

You've got to admire his weight loss, though ;).
Or maybe not. That woman looks a little under-nourished thin. |
