BTW my embarassing photo has been looked at and it's far too embarassing. It might spread across the net as some sort of craze.
Can't blame me! I shun the big stupid cars! I saw a hummer parked in the school's parking lot a couple of nights ago, and lemme tell you, I was way tempted to smash a few headlights and/or windows to send a nice little message about conservation, but I didn't feel like going to jail that night. If I had had a sharp object with me that night, I probably would have at least slashed their tires.

Yeah. He would be smiling. He loves popsicles, I bet.

To be honest, yeah, most of the Russians are cold and they can be quite rude. But I know a lot of Russians who are warm, kind and good-hearted people. But oh, how I wish they learn to like spicy food!
I've had some nasty experiences with old Russian people when I lived in West Hollywood in L.A. Those bitches are veteran survivalists, man. I learned quickly to play their game when it came to getting on the Santa Monica Blvd. bus. I literally had to physically shove old women aside just to board, and to learn not to feel bad about it. They can take it.

eiw.

Nah, I'd just flash them a glaring look. I learned after the very first time I mistakenly acted chivalric and stepped aside and allowed one old lady to board before me. Before I knew it, the whole f***ing lot of them pushed me aside trying to get in all at once, including the men!

Are you sure they were men and not gnarled old ladies?

That's the whole point. They've never had the concept of lining up.

I hope you will never have to use the public bus in Beijing. We drove by bus to the Summer Palace. It was the final stop of the bus, and we had to stand for a long time - Luckily we were not in danger of falling over whent he bus braked, because there was nowhere to fall, what with people filling every space in the bus.

On the way back we were lucky, even though it ended up as full as the way there. Since it was the final stop of the buses, it was also the place where they started. And we even managed to get into the bus of the one line that has air conditioning (not to mention that we got seats)! We left the bus at the first stop with possibility to change to the subway, which was after about 1 1/2 hours. We really had to elbow our way out.

My father even managed to travel with the public transport without the company of our Chinese friend who kind of acted as our guide. And no, my father can't read chinese (yet). He just kept to the main ring of the subway, and to trolley busses.

You want to come to England. We're professional... uh... queueists. Foreigners think it's freaky.

Okay, it's in fact 1970s Poland. But anyone from post-communist block should find this image more or less familiar.

JESUS MAN! You're a health hazard!

For some reason I picture you as a rugged Vetinarian who lives in the country, pulling calves from cows, drinking down the local pubs and solving murders.

Don't ask me why.
