They think I'm too weird to live in Malaysia, so they tossed me out and I landed in Russia.

Actually I'm studying in Moscow.

Tell me, are the people of Russia miserable? When I was in geography class last year, the section in our books about Russia was filled with people looking cold and pissed off. Is it really like that? I wish I still had a scanner so I could show you.

This city is my prefered synonym for "remote". For some reason, I've always got a kick out of it's name...

Use it in a sentence.

Ok, so it's not exactly a synonym, but you get my point...

Well, Temp, let me put it this way - would you be smiling if someone sticks an ice popsicle up your ass?

To be honest, yeah, most of the Russians are cold and they can be quite rude. But I know a lot of Russians who are warm, kind and good-hearted people. But oh, how I wish they learn to like spicy food!

I asked my good friend Miroslav and he said old women sell meat products from baby strollers to make money.

If it's true, I gotta get over there.

Well, that was dialect. 'Woas'=weiß (as in "know"), 'I'= Ich, and 'moagst'=magst.

The whole thing in clear german would be: Vlad, Ich weiß doch! Ich weiß doch! Ich weiß doch, du magst Russland. (doesn't sound like "Vladivostok" any longer, though.)

Why do I now feel like those last two semesters of German I took were a complete waste of time?

Actually I should have said "accent"

Don't worry, most people also speak clear german. It's the same with english. There's people you can hardly understand because of their accent, and others that you hardly notice having an accent.

Old people often have a stronger accent. A good example in english is Sean Connery having a stronger scottish accent now than he used to have.

I know that in Bavarian (at least in Oberfranken, which is northern Bavaria), there are some words like "Fei". I once asked my cousin what exactly it meant, and she couldn't really explain it either. It's a so called "Spice" word, I think. Making the language more interesting.
Still, I am sure you wouldn't have a problem understanding my cousin, and most of my family (even my uncle, who is quite a bit older. He is my father's older brother.), because even though they have accents, they can easily be understood.

I wanna go there. Hell, is it supposed to be warm? I blame the Americans and their SUV's and global warming.

Capitalist dogs! Especially Tempsie.

Yours sincerely,

Limey English git.

BTW my embarassing photo has been looked at and it's far too embarassing. It might spread across the net as some sort of craze.
