But I know the feeling. I'm vain and I'm not always that fond of the middle aged woman in the mirror in front of me.

I just need to note that a) it takes great effort to not be commenting (there's not a good word in English, but... cheekily/smartarsedly?) on statements such as the above; and b) you should feel very lucky that you can be ignorant of the absence of such comments. I can be very annoying, I take it...

That is all.

Spoiler:
(Edit): Just to clarify, to comment on the statements such as "the woman in the mirror" in a manner such as: "oh, must be quite a big mirror that a woman can actually fit inside there"

But Jelena, don't you know that men get better looks as they get older?

Hey!
I did not mean anything cheekily/smartarsedly with my post!
rlpw says he feels older and older. I say I think he's handsome and I can recognize the feeling of getting older. (I am one of the oldest posters around here am I not?) Looking in the mirror and noticing for a fact that I look older and more worn (expr?) and also feeling my body getting more and more worn. I don't think it's all that unusual for people above 40.

If rlpw is offended by my post I of course apologize to him. I did not mean anything condescending and I'm quite pissed off anyone thought I did.

I dont understand UPtimist comment. I didn't think that you offended rlpw by what you said. I just though that you were agreeing with him of what you are feeling about getting older. There is no need to apologize........ I dont think anyway.

By the way....... I didn't know you were about the 40 mark........ I think you're a cutie You look great for your age

UPtimist will probably explain himself later, but what you're saying is not how I understood his post. The way I read it, what he said was "You're lucky that I'm not following my impulse to comment on your post in a cheekily / smartarsedly way."

Relax dude, the chipped teeth give you a rowdy, slightly dangerous look that suits you very well.

Yeah, I think I could live with it.. Although, once you've known me for a few minutes, any miraculously present aura of danger dissapears forever, so I don't see a point. Anyway, I still wanna look into whether some sort of add-on is possible/affordable.
