Charcoal drawings I drew for various people...
My first one for an art class in college. It took an insanely long time, and I still don't think did that good compared to the source material. I don't know what it is. I still have this one, though. My second one, I drew for a friend's birthday. Took two sessions of four hours each. I don't know why she loves skunks so much. She just does. Another one, for a different girl for her birthday. I don't remember how long it took. This one was for a donation auction that someone won the bid on, and she chose polar bears. Took awhile to get around to finishing it. Charcoal prefers to be dark, rather than light shades. This one I did for my mom for Christmas. And this one was for a girl I was going to meet with in five hours and I wanted to impress her or something. Took four hours to do. Perhaps it shows, perhaps not. In the backround, you can see on the monitor the photo I was working from. I am no good at drawing pictures with my mind. All of the animal drawings are taken from other photos or pictures, because I'm not quite skilled enough to make major deviations from the source. Like having the koala drinking iced tea or whatever it is koalas do.

I didn't know there were other artists here. And you guys are good, too!
Here's some stuff I did recently. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. I bought a scanner recently, but I haven't gotten it hooked up yet. Two quick character doodles. A drawing of a photo reference. Just some random illustration. This was for a weekly activity on an art board. The theme was Vin Diesel facts. My fact was that Vin Diesel wrote "War and Peace." |

Hey thanks, glad you like it!
Great stuff everyone Wormsie- Ignac was on hold for a while, as there simply wasn't enough time to finish the whole game.. but things looks bright at the moment, as it seems the game is finally getting a sponsor. Here's a bit of teaser matterial for now.. it's quite old, but hey : http://www.bugbrain.com/igor/ignac2teaser1.jpg |

Throwing stuff into the mix. What the hell.
Recognise this? A quick sketch for ideas. Don't like the posing on the ninja mouse. A recent pencil sketch enlivened with Painter and a Cintiq tablet (best thing I ever bought) - Igor, your stuff is beautiful. Join in at animationnation.com and post in the gallery, it deserves to be seen. Bear in mind there's some pretty powerful movers in the US 2D animation industry there.

squarejawhero- o man, fantastic stuff! And that cat character is a winner
Btw, you have Cintiq tablet?!! I've been wanting one of those for quite some time now.. How does it work? Is the feeling really almost the same as drawing on paper? Is it worth its price? Do tell do tell! Btw, thanks for the link, i'll check it out Last edited by Igor; 04-28-2005 at 04:11 AM. |
