Default The League of Gentlemen, Apocalypse

Does anyone know if this movie has a United States release date, yet?

I have a feeling he means THIS.

In which case, I dunno when or if it'll have a US release. If IMDB doesn't know, neither do I.

That's the one, Kode. Maybe Catbert would know, after all, we are all his wife, now.

A friend of mine saw it about a month ago at a special screening and thought it was really bad, an injustice to the series. Before you start thinking that I and my friend are lying, remember we're Londoners and harder than you.

No, seriously, we're both in the media industry and get to do/see these things occasionally. So if I were you I'd heed his warning as he likes the series... mind you they could've tightened it up a bit more by now, so you never know. The LOG guys have been getting more and more grotesque rather than funny (the Xmas "special" comes to mind) of late so I'm inclined to wait for the general media news rather than get excited about this one.

On the other hand, Mark Gatiss wrote the best episode of the new series of Doctor Who so far, so I have another reason for some Gatiss love.

Hopefully the movie will be in the vein of the first two series of The League of Gentlemen rather than the frankly dodgy third. Far too twisted for me I'm afraid.

I do like the guy on the IMDB boards who says "The first one sucked!! Why did they make a sequel when the first bombed." Somehow the IMDB boards seem to attract more than their fair share of idiots. :~

He seems to think that it is a sequel to "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".

I think I will fall flat on my face, in hysterics, watching the reactions of those that are seeing it, thinking it is a sequel.

I tell you this, the trailer is completely devoid of laughs.

It was on T4 (a kind of sunday program for young adults) and afterwards they cut back to the studio, and it was completely quiet. Then one of the presenters burst into "ironic" laughter.

I kinda felt the same way. Best line? Tubbs on the toilet - "I made a little brown fish!"
