The Highwaymen - Highwayman

I had no idea that such an all star musician group was formed back in the day to sing an amazing song like Highwayman.
There's some much power and charisma on those voices that this song has very strong affect on me.

assemblage twenty three, failure. [the entire disk from end to end] - a particular favourite is "dissapoint." it, coupled with vnv nations vocal version of "forsaken" has to be some of the most somber and emotionally hard-hitting electronica i've yet to experience.

apart from that, i dug up a quite nifty version of depeche mode's "when the body speaks" [seems like a fan remix called the "engel night" remix. retains that slow, laid back feeling with more bass and actual drums.] also, for those who like pink floyd, you really, really ought to see if you can find david gilmour playing "on an island" accoustic [or, with a very small audience] - there's a /mindblowing/ version of the pink floyd song "high hopes" on it.

Chris de Burgh - Don't Pay the Ferryman

Possibly the only Chris de Burgh song worth listening to.

So true.

I love that song. It took some years for me to find out who sang it after I had seen the video on TV without catching either the title of the song or the name of the singer.

The video that accompanies it is hilarious. The rest of the man's output is lame, though.
