Watching Eurosong half finals. Why does almost everyone look or sound like ABBA this year? Except for the Finns, they totally pwn!

A dude grew a pair of wings on stage, for god's sake!

I´m watching with one eye and I agree that everything sounds very much alike. Whoever wins it´ll be the Finns that I´ll remember.
And our contribution of course: "La Carola" She´s on a mission from God. (She´s very religious)

I thought it was psytrance but Wikipedia called it psy ambient. I honestly don't know the difference. Either way, they're good, I think.

Ah, shit, I missed that performance. Still, there's another chance on Saturday, since they made it to the finals! LOL!

Oh my, there was some hideously bad stuff there... the singer from Iceland in particular. Bad taste galore.

They were all awful, like usual in Eurovision. This however, shone a very dim hope:

Hot stuff.

Right now I'm listening to another belgium band, Hooverphonic,

I can't believe that I'm going to miss the Eurovision song contest this year... it won't be the same without Mr Wogan's commentary track .

I´m going to watch it as usual. And I´m going to fall alseep as usual since the show takes forever and most of the songs are horrible.

Hey, Norways contribution is quite good this year.. I also like Denmarks and Finlands offcourse (and irelands ballade).

But Lena, Carola, she translated the song to english! I could handle it before, but that ruined the whole song! what do you think?

Norway: Alvedansen
Denmark: Twist of love
Ireland: Every song is a cry for love

RLacey: someone will put the show out on the internet I'm sure! I could watch it on NRK nettv if I hadn't had tv (that's a norwegian production though, so you'll not understand that much..)

I agree that the swedish version suits her better. But I think it´s a winner in english as well. She´s such a talented singer. One thing in this song though is that she´s uses that "almost screaming" voice a few times. She really doesn´t need to do that.

I haven´t heard Norways or Denmarks songs yet. If those are links to videos you´ve got there, I´ll sit down and listen some.

EDIT: Here she is:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=qgfLCiL0A...rch=Invincible

I´m just worried that if she wins she´ll start praising the Lord on stage.

That´s OK with me. It´s a great song and they´re definitely the most memorable characters ever in the Eurovision.
I think I´ll even vote for them.
