Is that album as good as I think it might be? I was a big Chris Cornell fan as a teenager.

ATM I'm not really listening to anything, although the new Gorillaz might find its way into my stereo sometime soon.

I've been listening to these two song on repeat for the whole day and the scary thing is I'm not exaggerating. They are Ongyilkos Vasarnap by Venetian Snares and The Boat Room by Mice Parade.

Ongyilkos Vasarnap is Snares' take on a Billie Holiday classic Gloomy Sunday. It's not in his usual drillcore style, in fact, it's surprisingly listenable
The only thing is I'm not sure if I like it just because Gloomy Sunday is such a beautiful song. "Darling I hope that my dream never haunted you..." Gorgeous.

The other song is from Mice Parade's latest record and were it not for My Workday in May, this would be my new favorite song of his. Highly recommended.

Audioslave's first record (are there more?) is... well, not that good

I liked their first album, I'm a big fan of RATM. I still don't get their second album but I kind of like its first single "Be Yourself".

What I'm hearing is a live performance that a friend send me, it's quite good. If you like Soundgarden they played Black Hole Sun and Spoonman and some other RATM songs

Y'see, I didn't actually like the Gorillaz first album. I liked the singles and videos, but other than that I found the rest rather dour and hit and miss. Imagine my suprise when I watched Day of The Dead for the first time and realised that an entire track of theirs is basically a sample from that movie with annoying singing over the top.

The new one I like, personally I feel its their strongest song yet... don't get me wrong, I thought their other singles were classics, but that bass line is dope. I hope Damon Albarn pulls together a more intersting mix for the entire thing this time without sounding incredibly bored, when in actual fact the entire Gorillaz idea is a brilliant and vibrant one.

Yeah, they said that because they were starting, but now I guess it's ok. Good for us

Drowtales - Battle Theme (for the Drowtales game, mind - it is actually a comic)

Also, Kharla'ggen's (Kharla) theme, which is called D-I-S-T-U-R-B-E-D (which pretty much describes the song...and the character, as a matter of fact. She like dolls and puppets - she makes them themselves...out of people. And they still "live".) Kharla is a character from Drowtales.

And "Candle in the Wind" (the version for Diana) by Elton John.

Ozma - Natalie Portman

Solarscape - Gwyneth Paltrow, Nerf Herder - Courtney Love would fit in here right now, but I'm too lazy to look for the discs.

System of a Down - Mesmerize.

I've started listening to System of a Down quite recently, and I'm impressed.

Yes, I have to say I like SOAD as well. They're quite different from everyone else.

Now playing: James Brown: "Live at Studio 54" and PULP: "We Love Life"

Try Death By Stereo. They're pretty similar at times.. Though they are more hardcore/punk overall. http://epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=434

Hidden In Plain View - The point (Another one of those Drive-Thru bands.. the song is okay)

Oh no! You couldn't be more wrong - SOAD are the worst "rock" band I have ever listened to!!

My local rock club plays one of their songs religiously every saturday night and it really annoys me!
I think the song is called "Toxicity"? and whenever it comes on virtually everybody in the club gets up and dances to it whilst singing along to the words!
I sit and watch them and they just look like a herd of mindless automatons It really winds me up!
