What can I say, my musical tastes got stuck back in the 1980s!

It's actually quite rare that I hear any contemporary music that I like, the vast majority of my music collection predates 1990.

Santana - Angel of Air

Interesting piece, a fine 10 minutes long, sort of experimental-feeling to it. It's excellent.

tool, "10,000 days."

so far, the standout songs are "vicarious" and "right in two."

"right in two" is...pretty spot on about the human race.

the "funny" song on this one [if tool could be said to have a sense of humour] is "rosetta stoned."

so far, i'm enjoying it a great deal. it's not as mindblowing as, say, aenima, or quite as happy as "lateralus," [i tend to refer to that as the "happy tool album"] but it is solid - the two-part ode to his mother is *very* interesting, but the song i think i'm going to be coming back to is definately "right in two." the lyrics are just very striking.

be warned, this is a "try before you buy" kind of album. some tool fans are going to love it to pieces. some will just not like it very much at all.

^ Probably, but controversy is a sexy beast. Which brings me to...

The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower - Love in the fascist brothel. LMAO, that fanfare intro is just way out there.
