Bonde Do Role
Holy cow, I've found some real kickin' music for the summer. Hip hop mixed with rock samples mixed with Brazilian sounds. It's all in Portuguese thankfully, because apparently the lyrics are fairly explicit. |

Recently discovered the greatness of The Flaming Lips after they played a free show here at my university. The Soft Bulletin is my favorite album of theirs, and I also like At War With the Mystics after the first few terribly poppy songs.

[SomaFM] Secret Agent: The soundtrack for your stylish, mysterious, angerous life. For Spys and P.I.'s too! I've been listening to a few of their stations recently. It seems everytime I revisit old net-radio stations they're in danger of closing. Are they all, always, in danger of closing? Station broadcast is occasionally interrupted with requests to contacting my local congressman (quite impossible) to help save them. I also tried to go back to Kohina.org but they've recently gone .ogg only (just about) which I find frustrating. |

I love SomaFM.
The deal with the sending a letter to Congress is that a bill is being discussed that could potentially force online radio stations to pay ridiculous royalties to the studios so that it'd be impossible for them to stay afloat. Little do the studios know that a good many people discover new music, which they then buy, through online radio/Pandora.
