Default The get Glenn to E3 Appeal

Since the age of 9 it has been a dream of mine to get to E3. I had big plans for making E3 live videos. Plus it wouldn't be an E3 without an adventure gaming Aussie roaming the floors. I have no problems with actually getting into the convention as I'm a staff member. My problem is... wait for it... I live in Australia. I'm a uni student and I cannot possibly afford the plane ticket. I can't even afford my university fees. It costs around $1000 US dollars. Are there any sponsors out there that are willing to take me to E3? email me: [email protected] . It's a long shot but its my last resort If that fails then I guess it will be another year of anticipation for me.

I'm not sure they would let you in, anyway. You have to send proof with your press registration that you're over 18. (That's supposed to make you feel better. )

Start saving now for next year!

ps I am currently waiting for a big bag of money to fall into my backyard so I can quit my job and write books all day. It's bound to happen at some point. When it does I'll send you some of the cash. Any day now...

You too, eh?

Good luck, Glennsie. You should definitely start a new bank account titled 'E3 or Bust', keep putting money into it, and stay disciplined with that so the amount will grow steadily. If you're not already working get some part time work for cash to funnel into your account. Also, from all that I've heard from fellow staffers here and at the Thumb, E3 may be the biggest gaming event of the year, but it's also the most lopsided. Things can get crazy, it's like some strange distracting party full of strange distracting types (see example below). So you'll need a hefty amount of focus and discipline, especially if you're there to report news for AG. Besides, you're gonna be in LOS ANGELES!! wooHOO!! I have fond memories from when I used to live there. That town is f#&king freaky.

Example of strange, distracting, frightening people at E3:

This year should be the best E3 EVER There are rumors that we are gonna learn about the PS3, the XBOX 2 and even possibly the new cube. I've already bought my ticket there 8-)
