Hehe... don't know why I remembered that suddenly. I used to watch it when I was a wee laddy.

PS. Anyone know a program that can make any program appear in the systray instead of the taskbar? I hate when the taskbar has a lot of open programs, but I have to have a lot of stuff open at work.

Any of Windows's properties-windows are like that.

If you really stretch you can make, e.g., Winamp fill the whole screen, but I don't know of anyone who does because it will look rather silly.

Well, here's mine:

note that I use winXP, but it is clear that I hate that tacky XP look

Appz, Gejmz and temp are folders, the shortcuts are all in there (so I don't have to look for them all over the desktop

Join the club - only I like the marginal speed increase (which also causes me to remove my desktop image every so often, but, hey) .

I see your point, but I have 1.25gb of RAM; shame UT2004 uses all that though and XP ALWAYS finds a useless use for it

Can't you just hide them though.....ARGH MY EYES, MY EYES

Window Hider will hide them, but they get hidden without an icon in the system tray... you have to open the Window Hider window to reopen the hidden windows...

(Reduced to 50% size - I run at 1920x1200)

There is me. Or rather, my desktop. The little thing at the bottom is the excellent program Stattoo, and for IM I'm using the also excellent Adium.

Thanx, but I found a better one that adds "minimize to tray" and "hide" controls to every window.

I don't remember what it was, I installed it at work. I did a google search for "taskbar system tray" (no quotes), but that gave trial versions mostly and then I found one in download.com (also had a commercial version, but the free seemed completely free, not trial).
