And directed by Uwe Boll, the greatest director ever!
The movie is going to suck so much, it doesn't even have anything to do with the game. |

This movie will suck so hard, a small hole will rip in the fabric of the universe and hopefully everyone involved will get sucked in, leaving the world free of Yuck Balls movies forever.

Yuck balls. That's an awesome description. Let me borrow for a sec. This movie is simply OOOOOOOZING yuck balls. And the yuck balls are dripping poisonous venom that smells like someone just threw up in your bathroom all over the floor, then passed out, but since its your friend, you feel obligated to help them clean up, and so you help them wash the dried vomit out of their hair the next morning. And that friend never showers. Yuck balls indeed.

Those were his heavy addiction years though, so I think I forgave him. I was big into tortured souls back then. -emily ps I have seen Pump Up the Volume well over 100 times... |

Ohmygosh, I'm confused AGAIN. I read Christian Slater as Christian Bale. Christian Slater asked out a friend of mine from high school (she was a model). Actually, he had his MOM ask her out at a cocktail party in NY. (She said no.) |

The funny thing is they can't do no-brainer shootemups right either. The Doom movie... is set on Mars... but has no marine grunts...
... and there aren't any demons... ... and hell doesn't even come into it. BTW what is that smiley vomiting? If it was vomit I'd feel less wierd looking at it... And Pump Up The Volume has Samantha Mathis eye candy, so there something for everyone! Great film. |

As long as we are taking the thread off topic to discuss teenage crushes, I think I will make my contribution here as well. I had such a huge crush on Phoebe Cates from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. And as some of you already know, Sophie Marceau from La Boum.
Getting back on topic, I think I read somewhere that Uwe Boll is actually a gamer. I can't for the life of me how he, as a gamer, can so absolutely butcher the games he licenses. You'd think if he's a gamer, he'd have more respect. |

He must be one of those consol gamers.

I think it's safe to move this thread into Chit Chat. Or did anyone actually *want* to discuss the merits of making a movie out of this game? -emily |

I'd rather talk about Phoebe Cates and Samantha Mathis.

You know a movie will suck when the director is far less experienced than yourself. Except if you're Spielberg. Even I could direct better than Boll, fercristsakes, and that's another movie I won't watch.

I can sum up, in 5 words, why this movie will suck like a Hoover:
Tara Reid as Aline Cedrac... (I apologize to anyone who was eating when they read that...and, if Uwe Boll keeps making craptastic game ripoffs, he might as well change his name to Toilet Boll instead...) |

Toilet Bowl, Yuck Ball... the guys got an interesting and easily modifiable name to mock.
Euch... Tara Reid... She's so cold and straight, like a razorblade. She was OK in American Pie, but I don't actually know of any other movies where her addition actually did anything other than make the movie 10 degrees cooler. |

I really like Christian Slater as an actor but this film is going to nothing for him at all!
I've seen trailers for this; and on a video game show here in the UK there was a whole section on the making of this game. And while it does look sort of scary I feel it will be a step backwards with regards to the success of translating games onto the silver screen. |

The next movie on Uwe Boll's hit list is Bloodrayne with Kristinna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez and Ben Kingsley!?!... and maybe Dungeon Siege or Farcry next.
I think he is trying to make a point, its the answer to those crappy videogames based on movies - painfully bad movies based on videogames... or not... |
