Sometime in the year 2002 I stumbled upon Adventure Gamer while searching for adventure game sites (I guess I probably searched for abandonware sites as a few others also had done while finding AGers), but at the time there was only a "This site is down, will be back soon" kind of note on the page.

Adventure Gamers I found at the end of last year (I think it was December 27th or 28th maybe). The article that had caught my eye was of course Stinger's Top 20 Adventure Games of All-Time and I read through it with never before seen enthusiasm. I suppose it was from another adventure game site I'd heard about this article, but I'm not sure which one (there is a few to choose between you know ).
Anyway, it took a while before I registered (not that long actually), if I remember correctly I registered January 10th this year and posted my first post that same day (or at least almost).

Time went by and I wasn't what you would call a frequent visitor to neither AGers nor the Forum during last winter/spring. When I was just warming up to start posting more often the site and forum went down. The wait wasn't, fortunately, that long and the temp forum made its entrance. I posted fairly often during summer and before I knew it Adventure Gamers was back! Time flies when you're having fun!

The funny part in this story was that it took me well over two months before figuring out that Adventure Gamer and Adventure Gamers was in fact (almost) the same site.

What... you're worried the cheese is so juicy that your fridge might be running? Don't worry, your fridge is supposed to be running.

I can't remember how I came across the site; but it wasn't long after I'd started using the net. Anyway I also registered the same day the forum started and the rest, as they say, is history.

Some things I'd like to know is;
Who came up with the frying pan and spam stuff?
Who came up with the tennis game stuff?
When was the first Group Hug?

And does anyone else find it wierd to read some people came much much later then others? It just feels like everyone has been here for ages and knows everyone. Obviously just because of the great atmosphere around here

Edit: I just nosied around the http://web.archive.org/ copies of the old ags... Bring Back the front page poll!

I think about 2 years ago I find the forum through Just Adventure, and the site wasn't up yet. I don't think I lurked very long, I pretty much jumped right in.

I dove in the minute I joined I think...
I just looked in the temporary forums, it says I joined in July? Has it been that long?
I just wanted a forum for adventure gamers, a forum where when I talked about grues and three headed-monkeys, people would know what I was talking about...

I occasionally visited the forums before I registered, sometime in November. Was it last year? It must have been. Yeah, November 2002. Was a bit more active back then, but I want you to know that I still love you.

Anyway, I can't really remember how I discovered AG at first, but I'm sure I stumbled upon it while scouring the net for some adventure gaming. Probably a month or so before I registered at the forums.

I want the dark-green styled forum back.
The current forum style sucks and yucky imo... no offence

I think Jake referred me here sometime 2000 because I think you guys were going to pick up his Sam and Max site or something. Someone sent me an extremely nice welcome message but I forgot who it was. It was really nice though. I felt like steel worker with a cold beer.

Then I posted an average of ten posts a year.

Then I started dying.
