I still can't belive that they haven't catched the guy who did it. There must be at least 30 witnesess
One of my friends walked by the store after she had been killed. He saw ambulanses parked outside and he just thought that someone had fainted or something. But then policecars started to show up and he knew something wasn't right. After he got home he heard what had happened. Since he walked around at the place where the killer should have ran through (and where they think he dropped some clothes) around the time of the murder it is most likely that he saw him without knowing. Some says that it is probably the work of a "regular" maniac. I don't belive it is the work of a random maniac that the financialminister gets killed a couple of days before we are going to vote about EMU. |

I do think they will catch him eventually. I think it is only a question of how long it takes.

My sympathies to her family, people around her, and the people of Sweden. Here in the Netherlands we had a similar political murder. But as often, the exact opposite of what the perpetrator wants to achieve with his/her deed happens. In our case, the politician who died got more popular then he already was and thus more people voted on his party. --Erwin

I think that the same thing you mentioned will happen here now. The exact opposite of what the murderer wanted to accomplish is happening right now. We are going to vote tommorow about EMU. There was posters with Anna over the entire city before the murder urging everybody to vote yes. Now most people will probably do that because of symphaty for what happened. Somehow I don't think that was the murderers intention.

Like Erwin said, it reminded me of the murder of Pim Fortuyn here in holland a year and a half ago. Not so much the circumstances of the murder, but the fact that it was a somewhat unprecedented political assassination. Something we're just not common to in these parts.
Well, such are the times we live in.

And it's good that we're not used to political murders. I wouldn't like it to be common.

Apparently they have the guy on tape, so it looks like they just might get the bad guy this time.
