My email is spamming

Hi

So, I just found out that my Yahoo email is sending spam all around. What can I do about it, and what has caused it?

I'm hoping that changing my password (plus deleting all contacts :P I have no need for a contact list) helped, but is this probably because of a virus, or...?

Oh wow, mine too!! I don't have many contacts, but my mom said I had sent her something about Canadian pills!

My twitter was hacked and was sending something similar. The problem was that it also automatically goes to my Facebook account so most all my family saw the same post.
