Default Happy Birthday, stepurhan!

The Birthday Demon makes another appearance... Lordy, lordy, look who's 28! (Back to counting in hexadecimal! )
Happy Birthday, Step!!!

This particular birthday okonomiyaki has a very special filling, click on the centre to see what's inside. Enjoy!

(Profuse apologies to Eve Merriam.)
In the house of Mr. B and his spouse
He and she would watch BBC
And barely a word between them spoken
Until the day their TV was broken.

Said she, "Shall I buy you the latest and greatest 'iPood'?"
Said he, "You twit, no newfangled gadgets for this oldfangled dude!"
Said she, "Then what about the new Slipknot CD?"
Said he, "Ninny, they're on hiatus, can't you see?!"

But Mrs. B took no crap from her beloved chap
She and he would never agree
She considered arsenic-laced ale, but that wouldn't hurt
So instead she snipped holes in his Evil Shirt.

Thanks to all.

Trunkyo - Hex is the way to count and that is one tasty filling in that okonomiyaki. You couldn't point me to the original version of that poem could you.

bulldog - That is one funny kitty. Bessie isn't quite fluffy enough to do that.

Jelena - After the last couple of days I'm giving up beer forever.*

Fantasysci5 - What ho old girl. Three birthday exclamation marks are absolutely ripping.

rlpw - Nice healthy looking meal there. Somehow the diet coke in the background looks out of place.

* forever probably ends some time around Monday.

Well shucks, I missed it. Oh well, happy birthday anyways.

This was so much fun, let's make it an annual thing, how about it?

step, here's the original that I shamelessly ripped off (also changed the structure and worked in some references to the birthday boy )... I originally saw this in a short story and poetry reader from my primary school days (y'know, back when school was still called "Cave of Learning"! )

Teevee - by Eve Merriam

In the house
of Mr and Mrs Spouse
he and she
would watch teevee
and never a word
between them spoken
until the day
the set was broken.

Then ‘How do you do?’
said he to she,
‘I don’t believe
that we’ve met yet.
Spouse is my name.
What’s yours?’ he asked.

‘Why, mine’s the same!’
said she to he,
‘Do you suppose that we could be - ?’

But the set came suddenly right about,
and so they never did find out.

Lucien21 - I think I need to examine those cakes in person in order to verify their existence. (though they may fail that test by the time I finish my examination)

UPtimist - Annual is fine as long as we stop counting.

tsa - That is one snazzy pen.
