Default Solve an adventure puzzle!

Okay, I have an idea that may turn out to be good or it may not. Also, it's probably been done before but I could not find any evidence of it.

Anyways, this is my idea:

You're name is Bob and you are trapped in your bedroom after idiotically losing your bedroom door key. "Damn" you think to yourself, "I've gotta find some way to pass the time in till someone comes home". You turn to your only source of entertainment, inside your bedroom, which is your TV. However when you attempt to use your TV, you realise your remote has no batteries inside it and because of this, you can not change the AV setting, which means you can't view television!

Task:

Get that television working properly!

Commands:

Look
Use
Pick Up
Combine

Inventory:

Remote
Lighter

Items in your environment:

Television
DVD Player
Lamp
Fish Tank
Lit Fireplace
Ice Bucket
Bottle of Beer inside Ice Bucket
Sofa
Bed
Curtains
Chair

Use the available commands, with the items in your inventory and your environment, to try and complete the task.

I will post back to say what resulted from the command being used - adventure game style!

You can only post one command each, then when I post the response for your command, you can post another.

The winner gets to post a new one or pass it on.

Look at television:

"It's my big plasma Tv." "Now why isn't there an AV button on it? It doesn't make sense!" "I think its designers must have been under the effects of a "funny cigarrete" whilst designing it, if you catch my drift."

Look at fish tank:

"My good old gold fish, swimming around in its tank of artificial homeliness." "Hang on a second! I have just notice that whenever it moves, there is a mechanical buzzing sound, separate to the tanks motor!" "Why would that happen?"

Use Fishtank:

"I would have a look at the fish in more detail, but it is down too deep for me to be able to get it out."

Hello mr. Brush (Just kidding!)

Use beer with fish tank (does that equal a drunk or a dead fish?)

Use beer with lit fireplace:

"What! Let the fire have it instead of "moi"?" "No, I don't want to do that."

Now now, I know your excited...LOL , but I did say one command per person in till I give Bob's response. Well actually, I said that as I thought more people would be interested in taking part and I thought it would make it fairer, but seeing as not many people are, then I don't see any problems with posting a few more.

Use lighter with ice bucket:

"To quote a wizard who has a bad case of denial over his wearing of dresses - that doesn't work!"

Look at lamp:

"It's a tall and decorative, black lamp, almost equalling myself in terms of height."
