Look at battery:

"It seems to be the correct kind for my remote, as it's a rechargable AA battery."

Use lamp:

Bob turns on the lamp

"Ahhhhhh more light for Daddy, that's better."

Oh crap. I really thought we solved it. How come the battery works in the fish but doesn't work in remote?
Ok let's try something different like look at bed

Look at the battery (we have more light now; maybe we will see something now that we couldn't see before).

I think the battery is inserted wrongly in the remote, but how do I turn it around?

Right, I'll give you a bit of help and say that is not correct. Also I will say, you have to face a similar scenario in a game from the previous decade to the one we are in now.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Look at lighter:

"Much needed for when the playful arsonist in me, comes up, from underneath my conscience”

Look at chair:

“Its use varies between a regular wooden chair, an irregular bed, and occasionally, a downright bizarre hammer.”

Look at dvd player:

"My DVD player - I suppose nowadays they're pretty retro." "I can't view anything on this as well, not only do I not have any films in here, but it also requires a remote to change the AV setting."
