Default A challenge for everyone…………..

A challenge for everyone…………..
Come for a brainstorming session

1.) I am going to buy some stuff, but forgot my wallet in my home.
2.) On my way toward market I met 2 of my friends who loan US$ 500/- each for spending. (Now I got 500 + 500 total US$ 1,000/- for shopping)
3.) Unfortunately I lost 1 US$ 500/- note now just got US$ 500/- for shopping.
4.) I brought PC Games for US$ 300/- now I got US$ 200/- left (500-300=200)
5.) I returned US$ 200/- to both of my friends, US$ 100/- each.
6.) Now when I recomputed my calculations I have to return total US$ 800/- to both of my friend US$ 400/- each, however the computation shows US$ 1,100/- (US$ 800/- payback to friends & US$ 300/- PC Games 800+300=1100)
7.) From where the hell US$ 100/- came in where I got just US$ 1,000/- initially.

Solve it if you think you are genius

1. The reason the calculation does not add up is you are adding the wrong things and mixing 2 separate calculations.

2. You borrowed a total of $1,000. You have paid back $200 and therefore owe $800 = $1,000.

3. Of the $1,000, you lost $500, spent $300 and paid back $200 = $1,000.

4. Simples.

Also, no-one is ever going to lend you money again. I can't believe you just lost a $500 note.

When I add the remaining $800 with purchases $300 it makes total $1100.........How....?

Rater the whole calculation should does not exceed $1000

Surely you spent $1,300.

You borrowed $1,000 which you had to pay back plus you bought the $300 game.

If your friends were buying the game for you then you need to pay them back $250 each so that would be the $200 repaid + $500 + $300 game = $1,000.

... or to put the point more plainly, the $300 dollars you spent is part of the $800 still owing (as is the lost $500) and separate from the $200 paid back.

To specifically answer your question "How...?", this is because when you add the arbitrary numbers 800 and 300 you get 1,100.

Does this problem have a name? Because I remember seeing it last fall, in a slightly different form though.

The reason manhole covers are round is because manholes themselves are round.

The proper (i.e. smartass) name for manhole covers is operculum.

I want to get a breast augmentation, so I go to see two plastic surgeons and decide to get two 500cc implants, one for each side. Now the first implant leaks completely, so now I just have one 500cc implant and an empty pouch, and am left feeling rather lopsided...

Halp!

I'd go ahead and put a zipper on your deflated tit, and use it as a place to store your keys and change.

You all got breast augmentation, it failed, then you decided to use it as a storage comp.?
