Default Special/weird interests-thread

So, I thought about making this kind of thread last night actually. Tell me/us about your weird interests.

I'll start then!

- I have a VERY weird interest in old Post mortem pictures. I know, sounds actually kinda freak-ish when I say it out loud. But man, I can stare at them for hours. Not because I'm generally interested in dead people, I think it's more the "horror" about it. Who would want to pose in a picture with their dead parent/child/friend/whatever? To me it's all so weird that it's fascinating.
Examples of photos can be found here.

- Also, holes in the skin is fascinating for me. No idea why tbh. Maybe because it's not suppose to be there? For example, when I remove blackheads from my BF (is that weird?) it can leave a small hole in the skin, a cleancut hole. And God, I'm all "OOOOOMG A HOLE, YAAAAY!!". Hm.
I'm actually scaring myself somewhat while writing this

I'll write more if I can think of anything.
Your turn!

Well, that explains the piercings.
As for pics here is a 20 year old picture of me, Mrs.R, and my oldest daughter Misty. Not dead yet but pushing the envelope more every day!

And here, lucky you, are my dead parents. Not dead pics since that is very frowned upon in the Deep South.

I think I know what you mean about holes in skin -- I have some small indentationy scar things from some minor skin condition I once got as a child that I continually poke and prod.

Speaking of skin.. I am totally mesmerized by this pictures. It's freaky as hell, but I can't stop staring at it, even though I know it's fake.

When I see a picture of fingers like that it reminds me of an accident I had while working on a banana farm, when travelling across Australia.
I’d been working there for six months already, and was having a pretty usual day; working hard, messing around, collecting tree frogs and putting them on top of my hat as a sort a mascot for the day (its ok; when they get bored of hat surfing, they’ll just leap on to a passing tree) and all other banana associated tasks.

Anyway to cut a long story short, machetes and fingers don’t mix. So in other words my finger ended up hanging off, which kind of ruined my day, and my friend who did it.
Also because it cut straight through the arteries, it was squirting really far, like a special effect from a film.
But I guess the relevance to this thread, is that from the first day, it became interesting to take photos week by week so as to document its healing progress. My hand is now fine as it miraculously didn’t cut the tendon (just everything else, which got sewn up with about 18 stitches) and I now have a cool series of photos to freak out my friends with.

A little strange for my first post on here maybe, but I got a bit sidetracked by this thread.

I think you'll find the problem is that they "mix" all too well. Sounds like a long story wasn't the only thing cut short. Glad to hear there was no lasting damage and welcome to the forums.

Lol, I think your probably right there. Yeah no damage now, it’s back to new (minus nerve feeling, but don’t mind).

Greetings also!

I don't have any weird interests. Everything I do is completely normal.

I don’t know if it qualifies as weird, but I like to photograph strange creatures when i see them on my various travels.

Enjoy!
