Small summary with pictures:

We met at the Central Station where Stepsie gave us all a bagde with our name on it. Now we were official. Then Mr. J (Jelena's husband) made group photos of us. After that we went for a ride on one of the tourist boats:

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4049/...23cb7874a9.jpg

The rest follows...

The three girls who were on the same bench just twittered the time away, oblivious of the grandeur of the city that was unfolded outside the window. Step, Jazz and me payed attention so we had value for money.

After the boat it was time for a light snack. In practice that meant that everyone had a drink, and Jazz had a drink and a giant meat ball that she devoured in 10 seconds or so:

Jazz and Step had gifts for everybody: Jazz gave us a model of the cans they keep apple wine in in the area where she lives (am I right Jaz? I didn't get most of your story), and Step had two little puzzles for all of us. The waiter kept asking the ladies: "Are you on the Internet? Oooh, I have to go on the Internet too! All these nice ladies there!"

After some debate on the Dam in front of the Palace we went inside the Palace.

Unfortunately we didn't have much time for the palace because we had to go and shovel down a lot of food at the fantastic restaurant my anonymous friend had chosen for us!

Step wore that smile on his face the whole day!

No it wasn't. And since Step, Jaz, my hubby and Elin had "warmed up" by meeting the night before at the hotel and also having a great dinner there, we were already acquainted. But I have to say most of us know each other pretty well after several years on the forums so we had a lot to talk about.

(I have to confess that Maruca, Luna and I were told to not talk so much during the boat trip. The (very nice and polite) couple sitting in front of us couldn't hear the guide speaking. That was a bit embarrassing. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/a...shamed0001.gif )

Nah, we did all that stuff. Then we reloaded an earlier saved game and tried a different approach. :D

Okay, so I did kind of run tsa into Jaz, and it surprises me he never got seasick with me pushing, but hey, I don't have a driver's license for pushing wheelchairs :P
At least you didn't constantly run him into danger like.............oh, hang on, I was denying I did that wasn't I? ;)

Here is an over the shoulder shot of you driving with care.

Bottom-right is my backpack. This is really an over-the shoulder (backwards) shot.

Thanks for the pictures Step! I look a bit weird on that one, but that must be because I am inherently weird hihi :P
You just didn't seem to have any luck at the moment that pictures were taken. I've got the great arm-waving one as well.

My wife and I both agree that you have stunning hair though (we also agree that Jaz has stunning hair but in a slightly different way, also useful for location on busy streets :P )

If you weren't sure of the controls you could always have pressed the F1 key.

Isn't it Luna's responsibility to educate you about these things though? :)

All seemed fine actually. With the common thread of gaming we got along straight off.

Anyone know what I'm talking about there?

Wasn't there a risk we wouldn't recognise her with her turning up in a different body?
Spoiler:
Was I right?. The Nomad Soul or Omikron. It was spinny circles of some sort if I recall correctly though

Little summary possible?
We met. We did stuff. We went home.

Too little? :P

stepurhan 04-12-2010 06:32 AM

Having a meal, the video. Ridiculously large. Ridiculously short. Good smile from Maruca right at the end though.

And without the help of this bloke I think we'd have really struggled.

Spoiler:
Or maybe only I would have. He was at Essen station on my return journey. Told me where the onward train to Brussels would be.

Two more pictures and then I stop.
Here's a beautiful one of the station:

My eyes! They bleed!

(Nice photos, guys/gals. Looks like you had fun.)

Jelena 04-12-2010 08:44 AM

Ahem....tsa seems to have forgotten I had gifts for everyone too. (Including his parents. ;) )

OK here are some pictures from me:

Jaz and Step at the hotel right before leaving for the get together.

Yay for meeting everybody! tsa, always ready with his camera. :)
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...sterdam003.jpg

My son (on his way home from Prague safe and sound) called just when the waiter was taking a group picture with my camera. Check out the giant meatball!

Step, reading poetry at the restaurant.

We did see the city! We saw a lot of houseboats, and tulips, and tulips on houseboats, and awesome big bookcases in houseboats. Shall I go on? :P

That is so sweet, you make me blush! I usually don't like my hair, but reading comments like this prevents me from cutting it off :)

I'm trying, I'm trying, but she is a tough one :P Always holding on to those weird illusions like 'real life' and 'no save buttons there'. Really. I need some educational advise here :P
(Having said that, she is learning. Slowly, but I have good hopes that at the next meet she will be saving like hell :P)

Putting it in another bag, I now have 2 aromatic bags with content :D

You really should keep your hair long. If I had the same quality of hair as you have, I definitely would.

You've found multiple usage for the tea. How creative! :D

Maquisard 04-12-2010 10:51 AM

Holy shit, I'm so happy for you guys! I spent a good week off in Paris with a cousin, as well. But dude, like, AGers are actually cool?! And people in their lives accept and support them in who they are no matter what? Awesome. BTW, I wanna be Stepurhan when I grow up. :P

I'll need to see if I can find my Piggly Wiggly T-Shirt.

I think Sage must have worked there at some point :)

Squinky 04-12-2010 12:55 PM

Well, you'll just have to share him. ;) And Jelena has a thing for him, too? Did they start snogging at the restaurant?! lol Kidding.

Giligan 04-12-2010 10:21 PM

Haha, man, that looks awesome. :P

Well Mr J, the bad-ass with the cool sunglasses, was there so I thought it inadvisable. :shifty: :P

There's plenty of me to go round ladies (especially in the middle) so no need to fight. :D

An understandable ambition. :D

What happened to the pictures of the original evil shirt? (< see avatar picture) I know some people took some when I got it out at the restaurant.

Well, no... Though it does start with "O" :P If I remember correctly, you squeeze the crystal.

Basically it's in another dimension though. You have to make a wormhole that threathens to eat up the earth. Then travel through to fix the probe that was sent, to close the wormhole.

And you know, you might get to wear a cool shirt (but only if you're a bit messianic). Maybe not so cool as the shirt on the pics though...

(Edit): And if you still need more hints (though of course if you haven't played, it will possibly just confuse you more, and you proably won't get it anyways), there are certain Stargate vibes in the game (or as I like to call it, Stargåte (it says that in the opening video! (of Stargate, that is)))
