Buying strips on the bus/tram would be 80 cent per strip. Note however that if things are still the way they were when I left Amsterdam, you can't buy strips on tram 5. It is possible in all other trams as far as I know. Don't ask me why. Must have some grand scheme behind it, but I never figured it out. (Wait, we're with a whole bunch of adventure gamers, we should solve this puzzle ) Errrrr....yeah that is what I meant. Oops

It's only around 1.5 week until the get-together! Does anyone have questions or suggestions? Maybe I have to arrabge something still? Please tell me.
I am still seriously thinking about taking a wheelchair with me. My poor knees are probably not up to walking around a whole afternoon by then. |

Take a cane too, so you can do the whole "angry grampa" thing and point the thing at passers-by (and swing it around, of course ("lean a little closer... so I can hit you with my cane!"))
(only joking, of course, I don't mean it as any kind of comment on bringing a wheelchair (or about your age..). No problems there, I'm sure) And why am I talking, I'm not even coming... (Edit): This reminds me of my grandfather, who we as kids used to push into the little park on the hill and whenever a... young lady would pass by he'd "shoot" at them and whatnot |

Oh yes, and one of these big copper hearing-things!
"What? What? You youngsters always whisper! Come closer!" BANG! "MWuHAHA!!! Right on the shins!" |

sorry I was being my in-active self.
As stated by Tsa I have no choice or saying about anything :-) as we are staying at his parents and will come there together. I am happy with the programm too... Jelena, the Van Gogh museum and the Anne Frank Huis are good ideas. I visitied both when I was 12 and in Amsterday for the first time. The Anne Frank Huis was very hard on me (as hard as the KZ visit near Berlin was, which I did 7 years ago), so better be prepared. Apart from the short and interrupted trip I did with Tsa last year this is my first time being back to Amsterdam. I can't wait to meet you all. You might not know who I am as I post so little, but I hope that will change after I've met all you lovely people. Thanks Tsa for all the organizing and stuff, you're doing great! So is this the attendance list still?
Only question from me is do you need collecting from somewhere tsa? I'm sure we can make arrangements if gettnig to the central meeting place is going to prove tricky for you. Can't have the organiser not making it. The offer of carrying is still open if needed though can be substituted for pushing as appropriate. Otherwise you've done a fine job and I reckon we can make it up as we go along beyond what you've already done. Can't have life being too predictable.

Thank you Step! My father will take care of the wheelchair, and he said he also doesn't mind bringing us to Amsterdam if the train proves too complicated. You can easily park your car for a few minutes behind Amsterdam Central Station (the place where you DON'T want to be at night) so I can probably make the meeting place with ease. If my father has a different idea then I will let you know. When do you arrive at the hotel? I don't assume you will have internet there, am I right?

Not sure about internet there. I arrive in Amsterdam a little after lunch on the Friday (you don't want to know what time I have to get up to do that) and will probably catch a taxi to the hotel.
