Avatar international teaser trailer (click the HD button for that version, then click for full screen) :) Looks very pretty. |
Man this is getting a LOT of hate online from whinging trolls.
Cameron has been hyping some great big revolution and that's probably not done him much favours. I certainly think it is one step closer to CGI realistic graphics as the CGI is certainly top notch. Story wise it seems very Pocahontas, but hopefuly we will see more. I imagine to get the best of this you need to go to an IMAX with 3D capabilities. |
I imagine this could be quite a good film. And the CGI looks impressive.
But without seeing this in 3D - I guess - it really does just look like a high-quality CGI-fest. So I'm surprised that people are hyping it quite so much at the moment. |
The animation looks good, but it all boils down to the story and directing. Hopefully it will be good in those regards.

I actually just saw the teaser this morning. I am not a film fanatic but I stumbled upon it on YouTube. It's weird: some parts of the teaser look fantastic, while others look like a 1990s computer animation. But it has quite a few 'Mysty' views in it, which peaked my interest. I have no idea what the story is about so I am curious to learn more. Not curious enough to go looking for more information though.

Between the mechs and those blue guys it reminds me of an anime cartoon used to watch when I was a kid that I don't remember the name of (nor have i seen on DVD or in shops). It also reminds me a little bit of Origin.
So... there's going to be 2 films called "Avatar" coming out in the near future? Hmmmm... |
I saw the trailer online last week and was fairly impressed. Then I saw the same trailer on the big screen last night and was totally blown away. I for one am totally looking forward to this.
