Anyway, I had completely missed the fact that this thread had got these few extra posts. I thought I had been the last poster.

*shivers*

BTW, I have a Swedish test on Tuesday. We are supposed to translate a Finnish text into Swedish... I've forgotten everything, so I'll just write that song there instead.

Heh. You're just six months late, no biggie.

I can do the test for you. 8-)

Nick: SoccerDude28 coz I am a soccer fanatic, playing it on the field, watching it, and playing FIFA. If I wasn't gonna be working in a software company, where I browse the net all day long, I was gonna definitely be a soccer player. Dude coz I'm male. 28 coz that's how old I am.

Avatar: H Simpson. My idol. What I thrive to become. I love the Simpsons so much that every gf I ever had buys me Simpsons stuff for my bday. I can quote old Simpsons episodes, have a simpsons tshirt, all dvds, a poster, a cell phone ring tone, computer games, candy, and a simpsons toy.

Sig: Another quote from my idol H Simpson.

If you truly liked soccer you would call it football.
Now, seriously, do you watch the real deal (UEFA Champions League, World Cup, European C'ships, English, Spanish, Italian leagues) or just MLS?
If not, you're missing out on some great matches. Not that Americans don't know how to play it (you did reach the quarter finals of WC2002), it's just not the same.
I'm just curious, because there are few Americans who like soccer, they have the strange idea that it's a girl game.

I can't remember if I already responded to this one, so oh well...

Nick: Tabacco is my last name
Title: It's a reference to Terry Pratchett's "Monstrous Regiment" wherein all sorts of everyday things are declared abominations unto Nuggan (a very uptight god it would seem)
Avatar: Zapp Brannigan from Futurama!
Sig: It's a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Possibly from the books, but definitely from the original radio shows.

Hmm... thought I'd responded to this one, but I guess not.

Name: Concrete Donkey (from Worms) + Rancor (from Star Wars) = ConcreteRancor (It's been my screen name for a few years now.)

Title: Death's motto, from Discworld.

Avatar: Commander Samuel Vimes, as drawn by Paul Kidby.

Signature: Slogan of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, in dog latin.

But we play soccer too, so that's "football played in America," as opposed to "American football."

But footbal was first played in Europe (believe it was England), and then in the States, so if it's the same game why not call it football too? (because you made up your football, and our was just imported )
