I'm between geek and total geek. I would have scored higher had computers and calculators been common place in my youth.

Sure, but you've got to admit that the test is clearly biased towards the "20-year-old hacker guy who only leaves his apartment to attend a comic con" demographic.

Not really. It's a test determine how geeky you are, and yes, being that type of person make you rather geeky. But you can get the very same score by being another type of geek entirely. For example, being a member of the SCA doesn't really fit very well into the demographic you mentioned.

Also, I am a "22-year old non-hacker chick who does indeed leave her home even if she's not really a social butterfly that to her dismay has never been to a comic con, but a world exhibition and several medieval fairs and reptile fairs before". And you saw my geek score!


Though admittedly, the test is a bit outtdated. I think it actually was made before Episode 3 was out.

There were so many Star Wars/Trek questions in it that people who are not very much into that stuff don't stand a chance. No wonder many people here had a higher score than me.

Why not do the MIT nerd test too and calculate an average? I had 57% on the test today. Questions follow here:
