Best Movie Music Theme Evar?
Yo! Guys.
'Flug Auf Dem Glücksdrachen', the main music theme for Neverending Story, has just started playing on my itunes. I swear this is the best theme music to any film I've ever heard. It's so faced paced and exciting you can't help but get an excited feeling inside. Just out of curiosity, what's everyone else's opinion of the greatest movie music theme ever? I'm sure many will probably say Star Wars, but I'd really like to know what film theme rock your boats? |

The theme for The Neverending Story sure is sweet, I got a lot of fine childhood memories of that one.
It's hard to say which is the best one but Suspiria surely is one of my favourites.

Applause to Henke for choosing a movie by Argento!
I have to say a tie between David Lynch's Twin Peaks and Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odissey

Suspiria... an interesting choice. Listening to that tune you linked got me a tad unsettled.

Diva by Jean Jaques Beineix (from 1981)
I don't know if it's the best score ever, probably not, but it has stuck with me ever since I first saw the movie.

I,m Alright by Kenny Loggins. Caddyshack was a silly movie but you just cannot help but move to that song.

Well, of course Twin Peaks is one as already said, but I have to say the themes to In the Mood for Love and especially 2046 are just out of this world... (although in 2046 the song I'm especially thinking about is probably not the main theme but the first song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXqAcmDtEXc (also includes the In the Mood for Love main theme, although it's named Yumeiji's Theme (oh, and then there's also a song from Hero))

About half of the films that John Williams has composed scores for .
But seriously, I like the theme tunes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler's List and Catch Me if you Can. But then I also deeply love the theme from The Silence of the Lambs. |
