Yeah, I bought them from a bloke I met in the pub. Oddly, he seemed glad to be rid of them.

I'll have to post a few colored window tests I took... They work pretty nicely as a series.
(Edit): I removed the picture, see the first in the next post. Last edited by UPtimist; 04-08-2009 at 07:49 AM. |

That looks cool! Not to spoil your fun, but can't you get the same effect by turning the red and the green channel way down in Photoshop or the Gimp or whatever your favorite program is?

Yeah, most likely, but where's the fun in that? (and that's just the first pic, they're not all like that) And besides, I like to be "natural"
Well, here's the rest of the "day" set, as I call it (before these, I took a set at night too, which I'll have to post later (Edit): Ahem... There's even a couple more in the night set... Anybody mind a whole bunch of pictures? Last edited by UPtimist; 04-08-2009 at 08:00 AM. |

Maybe you can post a link to the series? Of the above, I like the blue one at the top the most .

Well, here's just the album as a slide show. Includes all of the recent ones I've posted, and of course the pics in question. Somehow the slide show makes them look worse though, in my opinion

I wish I had a camera with me as I was in Ghent last week, such a beautiful medieval city with great canals but I guess I will go back in the future.. |

Yesterday I hung a dandelion's seed on a spider's thread. I used my phone as a background and edited out the spider's thread later with Gimp. This is the result:
I think I can do better. I will try again later with a different background. And I have to make sure the sun doesn't reflect on the thread so I don't have to edit my photo. I don't like editing. It makes the pictures not real anymore. |

Thats pretty brilliant and creative!
Well I guess it kinda looks a tiny blurred out, but I think it is pretty good ! I think the grey background fits well! at least if you want some other background I guess it shouldn't be too "offensive" colours.. |

I want a more natural background. And the picture is a bit blurred because of the movements of the seed in the wind. I had the camera on a tripod.

Took a trip yesterday to the north of Oslo, to venture into the mountains/forest. Felt good but not happy with the photo results (a lot of blur and too much unatural lighting from the camera even when trying out different functions). Wasn't the ideal weather and tall trees make it hard to capture the wide view from high above. But will go back during the summer when everythings mature and easier to venture through deep inside.
Some pictures summing certain parts the area i was around.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010003.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010006.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010059.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010241.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010132.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010202.jpg Ol church ruin in the area.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010262.jpg and my fetish with views from bellow.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010037.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010072.jpg branch fetish: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010118.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010165.jpg The king of the forest left his footprints! and not just pearl like bowel movement dispose! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/P1010022.jpg And heres a very unrelated picture (old) I once got which I really liked due to reflection of the water: http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...b1b9974cbd.jpg Last edited by MikeLXXXVIII; 04-30-2009 at 05:26 AM. |

Very nice pixies Mike! I also shot a few just a while ago.
I have a shrub that blooms beautifully for a week or two every year: I also shot a very tiny beetle inside a white flower on one of my small ground-hugging plants: Edit: I also shot a whole lot of pics of Annabel, see here. Last edited by tsa; 04-30-2009 at 10:47 AM. |
