Last week we had a day out at work. An Away Day to visit the work done at one of our sites.
This year we went to Stirling Castle to see the work done on the Royal Palace. Castle Great Hall built in 1503 for James IV. Painted in a hideous pink colour. Inside the Palace. Throne Room Replicas of the original roof with the carved heads Original Head Views from the castle battlements Inside the great hall Boom

Yes, I was wondering that too
But anyways, I especially loooove (because one "o" just isn't enough) the one with the distant tower on the hill. What is that thing? Looks like a wizard tower Also, it's got a very professional composition |

Lucien can also be a member of the Royal Family of course. But I suspect he isn't because nowhere did I see a small tiger running around during W&K's wedding.

I think he's an accountant.
Lucien The landscape picture of the tower and the one with the mountains are beautiful.

Quote:
The Tower in the picture is the Wallace Monument (not Mel Gibson, the real one).

It looks a bit like something that rhymes with Wallace. Is there some compensation going on?

I nearly didn't recognize that square without all the Christmas market stalls. I've only ever been to Cologne around Christmas time...

They way they blended old and new in Cologne (and other places in Germany) is very well done in my opinion. But unfortunately after WWII the Germans have of course had ample opportunities to experiment with that.
