Oh tsa, these animals are so beautiful, especially those birds I would take the indigo - black one home with me. Do you know what is that bird called?
You actually took all these photos by yourself?

I guess . That's what I get for not being a native speaker. Those subtleties are hard to find out.

Here's one from Spring, within Hornecourt Wood in Surrey. This place is one of the best for bluebells in the whole of England.

Wow! Amazing pictures, especially the first and third ones. And even more in the galleries Took me a while to realize that black thing in the first one is in fact the root of a fallen tree instead of a large bird

I have the first one with daffodils, look:
Taken many years ago in a park somewhere. I love the third picture amumptah! Those stones look like spikes on the spine of some giant monster that was buried there. |

Been messing around with the GIMP, trying out a few editing techniques. Here are some before and after photos from Chinatown and Camden in London.

I turned my youngest daughter onto Gimp when she begged for Photoshop but I was to cheap to buy it. She does amazing things with it.

Some pics from my weekend trip to Toronto:
This labyrinth pathway is located in Trinity Square next to the hotel where I stayed. I doubt anyone in this fast-paced city actually walks along the entire pathway in quiet contemplation! The obligatory tourist-y photo of the glass-covered Galleria section of the Eaton Centre, featuring the fibreglass Canada geese sculpture: Pics of some prize-winning sand sculptures at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition): "Taming the Dragon" "Ghost in the Machine" "Creator" "Blind Leading the Blind" "Biohazard" "Waves" This man spent several days balancing all these rocks without the help of adhesives or wires! My tired, aching feet after walking around the CNE for nearly ten hours! This is my infamous Chaco tan, 2011 version (also known as the "Z" tan) : Jack Layton, the leader of Canada's New Democratic Party, passed away last week after a recurrence of cancer at the age of 61. In the days leading up his funeral on Saturday, thousands of people came to Nathan Phillips Square (where Toronto's City Hall buildings are located) to write countless chalk tributes to a well-respected politician and former Toronto city councillor on the concrete tiles of the square and along the large ramp to the city council buildings. This message wall was set up at the CNE on Saturday: Since Nathan Phillips Square was located across the street from my hotel, I decided to take some photos of chalk tributes drawn on the concrete tiles, walls and ramp on Sunday: (Cantonese for "We consider you as being half Chinese. Thank you!" Jack's widow Olivia Chow is of Chinese background. She was also a former Toronto city councillor and is currently also an NDP Member of Parliament.) One young man is reported to have been so inspired by these words that he had them tattooed on his arm!

Great pictures Trunk, all of them. I became all emotional when I saw the wall with all the messages on it. This Jack must have been a good politician, which is rare.
I was in Haarlem last weekend. Mr. Anthony Fokker flew around the church tower there 100 years ago in his plane called 'Spin' ('Spider'). That must have been a sight to behold! As a tribute to the plane AND the church, the plane was put in the church to celebrate Anthony's succesful flight: The pictures were made with my phone, hence the crappy quality. Look at the engine: it's upside down! I wonder how they took care of lubrication. It's a 50 BHP engine and it must have made a terrible racket because it doen't have an exhaust system. |

@Trunkyo Those pics are so great Trunk I especially like the geese sculpture. They actually look like real birds The sand sculptures are awesome too. I can't imagine how long it took those people to make them
@tsa That old plane looks awesome I wouldn't say those pics are low quality at all

What fun: I put a message in The Thread: "I have a new avvie, look!" Nobody reacts. Then I post a nice picture here (OK it's not one of my best, I know), and everybody compliments me on my avvie .
