Awww, that's really cool. If there's anything I can do that'll help, let me know!!! I don't think they really need to learn about another state, though. Unless you were doing states in the US, too. lol

You're doing a wonderful thing, bulldog.

Oh yes meatballs for sure. We are going to have a (regular lunch) that day what ever they are surving and we are going to lay it out, then we will add the meatballs, and some bread and finally we will have some cake and cookies. It wont be as nice as your smorgasbords but it will be our version.

I'll post pics of that too.

I think that's a great way of presenting the "smorgasboard idea". The word smorgasboard is spelled this way in Swedish: smörgåsbord and it means sandwich table.

Hi all ..... we are on to Germany. The kids did their flags this morning and they look great... I will take pics tomorrow.

Not to worry Jelena, we are still going to do our smorgasboard. We have 7 weeks left of school so we are trying to get everything in so the kids get to visit all the countries.

I can't wait to see them. Also, please tell me how the kids liked the Grüne Soße (that is "Green Sauce" for all those that don't speak German.). We ate some ourselves only yesterday. I hope the kids will like it.

Looking forward to the pictures!

I love those flags. Some of your kids are so creative! The steamship on the left reminds me of the drawings I always made when I was that age. I used to fill the whole page with thick black smoke. I wonder what that revealed about my state of mind at that time.

Very nice group pictures too! Your kids all seem cute and well-behaved .

Edit: by the way, what happened to the smôrgåsbord?

Aww, they're so cute! Am I right that they really liked the picture of the Hayner Reitschul (the carousel)?

And yes, what happened to the smôrgåsbord? And did you already have the Frankfurter Gri Soß?
