So who here actually studies art (history)? I thought about sending some random art history professor here an email, but then as I don't actually study anything like that I thought it would perhaps be a bit too odd...

If I have email addresses, I can send mail to thousands of professors! If anyone knows an art professor, I'll send the email!

Still nothing?
Think Jane Jensen herself had anything to do with the paintings chosen? Somebody (who knows an adress) could ask her, I suppose...(?) Last edited by UPtimist; 11-27-2008 at 03:47 AM. |

Maybe they also don't know. But I remember that the mother of a friend of mine is a museum director. I will ask my friend if she can ask her mother to have a look at the thread.

I'll ask my sister if she also has lessons in Art history at her art school, and if yes, I'll ask her to ask her professor about the picture.

And also more intriguing! It's a real historical mystery!
Thanks everyone!

I talked to my friend this morning. She got a new daughter last week, and that means of course that her mother will visit her often So we have a bit of hope that the mystery will be solved soon!

I'm afraid I haven't had the chance to ask her yet. O.o I'll ask her first thing tomorrow, I promise.
*is very ashamed* EDIT: Could someone repost the picture? It doesn't seem to be present in the original post any longer, and I would like to print it out as to show it to my sister. -

Tomorrow I will go to my friend with the new baby. I'll ask her again to have her mother take a look at the picture. I'll print out the painting and take it with me so she doesn't have to look it up.

Thanks tsa!
I haven't lost the hope to find the name of the picture, or the artist at least. Thanks!

My sister hasn't given me any answer yet. I think I shall hand her the picture again, and ask her to ask once again.

My parents are now both trying to find the picture in books and on the web. No luck so far. Wednesday I will visit my friend again but I'm quite sure she hasn't found anything. She's too busy with her small baby.
