Hmmm, a puzzle depicting a star map and the planets, "Turn the Other Chick" edited by Esther Friesner, "Bad Prince Charlie" by Alan Moore, the collected "Persepolis" Graphic Novel, a clock, and the CD "The Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance (no, I'm not emo. I just liked the music).

Oh, it's not that. It's just- no one noticed my birthday. Ooh, look, Jazhara's so loony, we'll remember about her! Not Mory, he's just annoying. We all hate Mory. Grumble grumble.

Default And now, The Extremely-Belated, Double-Edged Birthday post!!1!

"Better later than Shpeiter", as my dad always says (heck if I know what that means, but it rhymes!)

Jazhara7, happy happy - joy joy! Have (had!) a great birthday, and sorry I didn't bring my exploding squirrel-cake (it exploded on me. Great surprise there...). May all your wishes come true, and all the joy in the world. I'd wish you all the lunacy, but you already have it. What more can you ask?!

And MoriartyL, happy BB (Belated Birthday) to you too! I believe we spoke once or twice through this site, and in any case, us Israelis should support each other.

Oh, and really long time haven't been here, and stuff. Good to be back.

RUSTY!!! *glomps* You live! It's good to hear from you again. And thank you for your well wishes. A pity about that Squirrel cake. But you had to do what you most, and those Squirrels are dead. I am content.

Oh, and that "Shpeiter" looks Yiddish to me, and indeed, a quick check reveals that the word "Shpeter" is indeed Yiddish. And just like I guessed, it has the same meaning as the German (Yiddish is a Germanic language after all, so similarities are to be expected ) "Später", which is pronounced the same way. What do those words mean? "Later"/"Later on". So that sentence means "Better later than later"!
